Dua Lipa is an English performer and songwriter from England born on August 22nd, 1995, in London United Kingdom. After being a model for a fashion magazine and songwriter, she was able to sign with Warner Bros Records and release her debut album. It peaked in at the third spot in the U.K. albums chart and had eight singles, including The U.K. top-ten single New Rules and the number one single Be the One. I.D.G.A.F. Lipa has been awarded The Brit Award in the year 2018 for British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum in many countries. Dua Lipa was is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London 22 August 1995. Her mother is Bosnian. She can trace her ancestors all the way back to Peja the city of Kosovo. Lipa's grandparents were both historians. She is the sibling of Rina Lipa. She also has a younger brother named Gjin. Lipa was greatly influenced in her musical tastes by her father the lead singer and guitarist of the Kosovan rock group Oda. The music played by her father was in the family, which included songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was five.
